State Department of Insurance Links

Once you have decided you want to pursue a rewarding career in the Insurance Industry, your first step is to contact the Department of Insurance in your state. State Department of Insurance Provided below are links for each state depending on your residence.

Before you take your insurance exam, most states require a pre-licensing training course that you must complete with a certain amount of hours, usually 30 hours to 50 hours depending on your resident state. This can be done either on-line, or in a classroom setting with an approved state facility. The cost can vary by state as you will need your study information and hours needed. You will want to first watch our “Not Licensed Yet” video. There you will find access to one of our On-Line Venders for getting your training taken care of. When you have completed the training material you will then schedule your exam. You must pass the exam with a 70% or 80%, depending on the state of issue. If you don’t pass, you can repeat the exam until you do! Watch this video below to learn more about how to get prepared for passing that exam.
